What does my therapist think about me?

Sometimes clients wonder if their therapist will secretly judge them or think they are "weird" when they share what goes through their mind. Yet it's that same vulnerability that opens the door for experiencing true acceptance and depth in relationship. For many, therapy is where they can finally be known for who they really are...and be accepted. After all, how can you feel accepted for who you are if no one really knows who you are?

In my experience, I've discovered that people are unendingly fascinating in the ways they have survived their circumstances. I cannot help but have compassion for their story and appreciate the journey they've taken. I am always honored to get to join them for a small part of it.
